Max Mutzke became known as the winner of Stefan Raab’s talent show, and today it is impossible to imagine the German music scene without him. Born in the Black Forest, he has made a name for himself as an R ’n’ B and Soul singer and knows how to fascinate his audiences. Whether with the Dutch trio “monoPunk”, with a string quartet or with a Big Band – Max Mutzke’s repertoire is extremely versatile. His musicianship has been honoured with numerous awards, with a place in the Eurovision Song Contest and the award of the “Golden Tuning Fork” for the best soloist. In 2012, Wolfgang Haffner produced Mutzke’s album “Durch Einander“ (Hodgepodge). With his new album “Colors”, Mutzke has created a sound journey through time and a piece of timelessness. The twelve tracks on “Colors”, produced, recorded, matured and fine tuned in an intensive year in the studio, are mainly cover versions: ”Hip-Hop Hits to Motown Songs“ was the trigger. But there are also two new pieces, one, “Zu Dir Komm ich Heim“ (I come home to you), fitting seamlessly among the memorable chart hits of this album, mainly because it radiates a blissful feeling of all-encompassing Soul.
